02Available formats and executions
39NiCrMo3 is available as bar and as plate block, in various sections and executions. The following entries correspond to the product list filters, where each item links to its detail page and to the quote request.
2.1Bars: round bars, square bars and flat bars
39NiCrMo3 bars are supplied as round bars, square bars and flat bars. Round bars cover the full range of executions (forged, hot-rolled, cold-drawn, peeled, ground), while square and flat bars are typically in the hot-rolled execution. They are the preferred formats for producing shafts, pins, tie rods and mechanical parts to be machined on machine tools.
2.2Plates and blocks
For applications requiring flat starting stock, plate blocks in 39NiCrMo3 are available in the hot-rolled execution, suitable for cutting plates, dies and mechanical bases. Shaping and cutting to the required size can be agreed at the order stage.
2.3Executions and surface finishes
The available executions meet different tolerance and finish requirements: forged and hot-rolled for semi-finished products to be machined, cold-drawn and peeled for tighter dimensional tolerances and clean surfaces, ground for round bars requiring the highest dimensional precision and surface finish. The choice of execution affects downstream machining and should be assessed according to the final component.
0339NiCrMo3 delivery conditions
39NiCrMo3 is supplied mainly in the quenched and tempered (+QT) condition, ready for use in components requiring in-service mechanical properties. Other delivery conditions can also be handled - including normalised, annealed, and quenched and tempered followed by stress relieving - depending on the machinability or dimensional stability required.

04Machining and certification services
In addition to supplying the material, Siderticino offers services on 39NiCrMo3 that reduce incoming machining and ensure batch traceability.
4.1Custom cutting
39NiCrMo3 bars can be supplied cut to the required length, reducing offcuts and shop-floor preparation time. Full details of the service are given on the custom steel cutting page.
4.2Third-party heat treatment
39NiCrMo3 can be supplied already quenched and tempered in the required mechanical condition, or the heat treatment can be carried out by third parties on the ordered material. This allows the customer to receive the semi-finished product ready for machining or use, without having to arrange the treatment stage separately.
4.3EN 10204 3.1 certification
Every supply is accompanied by an EN 10204 type 2.1 declaration of compliance and, on request, by a type 3.1 inspection certificate, with traceability of the chemical composition and mechanical properties of the batch. The 3.1 is the document required for orders where full material traceability is needed.
