Applications of 20MnCr5 round bar, forged, annealed

20MnCr5 steel in forged execution is particularly suitable for large-sized components requiring high mechanical properties. The forging process improves the internal structure of the material, eliminating any segregation defects and ensuring uniform mechanical properties.

The optimal forging temperature, between 850 °C and 1150 °C, ensures perfect plastic deformation of the material. The structure resulting from controlled cooling shows a fine, homogeneous grain, ideal for subsequent machining.

This material is ideally suited for the production of large structural components such as crankshafts, heavy-section gears and components for earth-moving machinery. The combination of mechanical strength and toughness makes it perfect for applications subjected to severe stresses.
